The July Hike for Pack 828 is set for Sunday July 17th at 8:30 a.m. We will be traveling to Oakland to hike the Redwood Creek Trail. This is a beautiful hike through the Redwoods, creeks, campsites and old churches. It is a great hike, but is 6 miles! Please keep this in mind [...] Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean the scouting fun stops! Our first hike of the summer will be Saturday, June 25th. it’s the Fages Trailhike, 3.3 miles from El Cerrito to Tilden Park. As usual, we’ll meet at Twin Creeks parking lot, 9am, and caravan over to Fages. All scouts, siblings and incoming Tigers [...] Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate and the stargazing (and thus the pre-gazing hike) was canceled. We’ll try and reschedule soon. In the meantime don’t forget the Briones hike this Sunday! This Monday night Twin Creeks and Mrs. Dees are hosting a Stargazing event at 6:30 p.m. This is a perfect opportunity for Pack 828 to make up the Winter Constelations Hike. We will be meeting at Twin Creeks in the parking lot at 5:45 p.m.. We will then do a 30 minute Hike around [...] Unfortunately the weather has not cooperated with us, so today’s Hoot Owl hike has had to be canceled due to the rain. Please be aware, the March hike next month to Briones has been moved up to 8am, March 13th. Meet at Twin Creeks. Hello Pack 828! Here are some more details for the hike through the Presidio of San Francisco this Saturday, January 8. The weather forecast looks great, so please plan to attend! The hike is a designated “historic” trail with BSA’s San Francisco Bay Area Council. The hike will traverse through some of the many [...] Just a reminder that the San Francisco Presidio hike is this Saturday, Jan 8. More details will soon follow, but we’ll leave Twin Creeks fairly early and be back mid to late afternoon. Come experience one of the jewels of the Bay Area – we’ll see cannons, the national cemetery, a pet cemetery, Crissy [...] We had a great turnout for the Mt Diablo hike last weekend.
